Privacy Policy

For privacy and account-deletion assistance with GyaaniJyotish from Giani AI, contact contact@giani.org.in.

Effective 15 October 2026

GyaaniJyotish is the astrology service offered to consumers under the Giani AI brand. This policy explains personal information handled by our mobile application and the related GyaaniJyotish website. For privacy questions, access/correction requests or account deletion, contact contact@giani.org.in.

Delete your account and associated data

You can request deletion without installing or signing into the app. Email contact@giani.org.in with the subject “Delete my GyaaniJyotish account” and the phone number used to sign in, including its country code. We will verify that you control the account before deleting it. Do not email your OTP, password, payment credentials or identity documents. We will tell you if further verification is needed and confirm when your request is completed.

You can also start deletion in the app at Me → Account → Delete account. Deleting a saved birth profile alone does not delete your account or your conversations.

Account deletion removes the account and its associated birth profiles, stored Kundli information, conversations, conversation memories, stored call transcripts and history, sessions and other account-linked records from our active application database. It applies to the shared account used on the website and mobile app. An active recurring subscription must be stopped as part of deletion; if the payment provider cannot confirm cancellation, we retain the account and ask you to retry or contact support, rather than leave a subscription running without an account.

Account deletion is permanent. Signing up again creates a new account without your previous history. Information in service-provider systems, operational logs or backups is subject to the retention and deletion practices described below; deleting the application from your phone is not an account-deletion request.

Information you provide

  • Account information: your phone number, verification status, name and account preferences. Sign-in uses a phone OTP; the mobile app does not ask you to create an email/password account.
  • Birth profiles: names or labels, dates and times of birth, birthplaces and the coordinates/time zones associated with those places, relationships and other profile fields you choose to provide. These details are used to calculate and save charts and related astrology results. Only provide someone else's information if you have authority to do so.
  • Conversations: messages, AI replies, reports of replies, conversation history and derived memories used to maintain context across conversations. Depending on what you choose to discuss, this content may include personal health, relationship or financial information.
  • Requested calls: the phone number selected for a callback, call status and duration, transcripts and related conversation summaries. AI voice and telephony providers process the call to deliver this service. Request a call only to a number you are authorised to use.
  • Support: information you send when requesting assistance, reporting a problem or exercising a privacy right.
  • Payments where available: website purchases and subscriptions may generate order, subscription, entitlement and transaction-status records. Razorpay processes payment credentials. In-app purchases and subscription checkout are disabled in the first Android release; a website payment service does not mean checkout is available inside that release.

Some astrology tools can be used without signing in. Data entered into a guest tool is still sent to our backend to calculate or retrieve its result; guest access does not mean all processing occurs on the device.

Technical information and analytics

Our servers process request information and operational/security logs to provide the service, diagnose failures and prevent abuse. We use Axiom for operational and error logging. Logs can include internal account/call identifiers and diagnostic details. We redact sensitive fields such as phone numbers, OTPs, birth details and conversation text before shipping logs; redaction is a safeguard, not a guarantee that every possible personal detail is removed. Login protection uses phone-based and network-based rate limits.

The mobile app uses PostHog for product analytics. Events include screen visits, app lifecycle events and actions such as sign-in, starting a chat or requesting a call. Events may contain an anonymous installation identifier, an opaque account identifier after sign-in, device model, operating system, app version, locale, time zone and session information. Mobile analytics are sent to PostHog's US region. Our app's event properties do not intentionally include your name, phone number, birth details, chat text or payment credentials. Mobile session replay, automatic interaction capture, automatic error capture and geo-IP lookup are not enabled. The current app does not expose an analytics on/off switch; a preference saved by an earlier version is honoured.

The website uses cookies or similar browser storage for sign-in and analytics and may collect page visits, interactions and diagnostic exceptions through its own PostHog integration. Its browser integration differs from the mobile configuration above.

The first Android release does not offer push notifications. Its callback feature uses the normal phone network; it does not record audio through the app's microphone. The app does not ask for access to your address book, photos, camera or device GPS to calculate a birth chart. A birthplace that you enter is different from your current device location.

How we use information

We use information to verify and maintain accounts; generate charts, matches, horoscopes and other astrology results; deliver AI chat and requested calls; restore history and context; manage available allowances and subscriptions; respond to support and content reports; investigate abuse and service failures; and understand and improve use of the product.

AI-generated guidance can be wrong. Avoid sending information that is unnecessary for your question, including passwords, payment credentials or other people's private information.

Service providers and disclosures

Information is processed by infrastructure and database providers, OTP/SMS providers, AI model providers, voice/telephony services and analytics providers as needed to operate the service. Depending on the feature and model configuration, AI processing may use Google AI services or Microsoft Azure OpenAI. Gnani AI's Inya provides AI voice infrastructure. PostHog processes analytics, Axiom processes operational and error logs, and Razorpay processes payments where purchases are offered. Birth/profile context and conversation content may be sent to AI services to generate a response; callback numbers and call content are handled by voice/telephony services.

We may disclose information when required by law, to investigate fraud or security incidents, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable obligations. We do not operate an advertising marketplace or sell your chat content to advertisers. Our mobile analytics are not used to combine your activity with other companies' advertising profiles.

Providers may process information outside India, including in the United States. This policy does not promise that all information stays in India.

Storage, security and retention

Production app requests use HTTPS. The mobile session credential is stored using the operating system's secure storage. Backend access controls restrict account data to authorised requests. These measures reduce risk; no service can promise absolute security.

We keep account conversations and stored call transcripts until the account is deleted, unless a specific deletion request or other requirement applies. Saved profiles and history support continued use of the shared account.

Our current free PostHog Product Analytics plan has a one-year event retention period. Our Axiom Personal plan retains operational/error logs for up to 30 days. These periods apply to those services, not to account conversations or database backups. We may delete associated data earlier in response to a verified request. Resetting an analytics identifier or signing out does not itself erase previously collected events.

Database backups and copies held by voice, AI and other service providers are separate from the active application database. We have not established one fixed automatic expiry period covering these copies. They may remain after an active account is deleted. Contact us to request deletion of associated records; we coordinate with the relevant provider and explain any information that cannot be erased, the reason and any applicable retention period. Copies retained for recovery must not be used to restore a deleted account to normal service. We may retain limited records where required for legal obligations, security or dispute resolution. The free-plan retention periods above do not promise immediate deletion from every provider or backup.

Your choices and requests

You can edit saved profile information, sign out and request account deletion. To request access, correction, deletion of other associated data, or information about our processing, email contact@giani.org.in. We may need proportionate verification before acting on an account request. We will explain any request we cannot fulfil and any applicable retention exception.

Children and family information

Birth profiles may describe family members, including children. Enter such information only with the necessary authority. An account holder's age cannot reliably be inferred from the age of a person whose chart they save. Parents or guardians can contact contact@giani.org.in about a child's information. The service is not designed for unsupervised use by children. Where parental or guardian authorisation is required by applicable law, it must be obtained before a minor uses an account or provides personal information. Do not provide a child's personal information without the necessary authority. Contact us if you believe a child's information has been provided without appropriate authorisation so that we can investigate and address it.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy when our practices change and display the effective date on the page. Material changes may require an additional notice or consent. Contact contact@giani.org.in for privacy or deletion assistance.
